Bloomsdale Spinach is the standard-bearer of heirloom spinach—its deeply crinkled, dark green leaves are rich with earthy flavor and packed with nutrients, holding up beautifully in salads, sautés, soups, and smoothies. A cool-season champion that thrives in Pacific Northwest springs and falls, this variety produces abundantly before summer heat sets in and again when temperatures cool in autumn. One of the most nutritious vegetables you can grow, and one of the most satisfying.
Growing Instructions: Direct sow in early spring (4–6 weeks before last frost) or late summer for a fall harvest—spinach germinates best in cool soil between 50–65°F and bolts quickly in summer heat. Harvest outer leaves for extended production, or cut entire plants at the base when mature. Cover with row fabric to extend the fall harvest deep into winter.
