Mammoth Dill stands tall and proud in the kitchen garden—its towering ferny foliage and bold, umbrella-like seed heads are both strikingly beautiful and powerfully flavorful. A favorite of home picklers and culinary gardeners, this vigorous heirloom produces abundant fresh dill weed throughout the season before yielding large seed heads perfect for pickling cucumbers, flavoring vinegars, and saving seed. One planting of Mammoth goes a very long way.
Growing Instructions: Direct sow in spring after last frost—dill does not transplant well and establishes quickly from seed. Succession sow every 3–4 weeks for a continuous supply of fresh foliage. Allow some plants to go to seed for self-sowing; dill naturalizes readily and will return each year.
