Chive microgreens bring the bright, fresh onion-garlic flavor of chives in their most delicate and elegant form—thin, vivid green blades with concentrated flavor that finishes any savory dish beautifully. From scrambled eggs and baked potatoes to soups, dips, and cream cheese, chive microgreens add a refined herbal note that no dried chive can replicate. Among the more unique and rewarding microgreens to grow at home, and one of the few varieties that yield multiple cuts.
Grow in trays using coconut coir or potting mix—chive microgreens are slower to develop than most varieties but require minimal attention once planted. Keep consistently moist and be patient; the flavor payoff is well worth the extra days.
